Mandate
The purpose of the society is to: encourage participation and appreciation of the theatre; provide opportunity, education, creative collaboration and mentorship of theatrical best practices; inspire, entertain and expand the audience for theatre; create and produce theatre and other performing arts productions of historic relevance; produce exceptional local, national and international theatre; and engage local, national and international artists, both professional and amateur.

Tammy Hampel, Artistic Director
A UVic theatre grad, Tammy has worked professionally as a director and stage manager for many organizations, including Pacific Opera Victoria, Theatreworks Shakespeare in the Park, The Belfry Theatre and Pi Theatre. She was producer of the Victoria Fringe Theatre Festival, and has toured across Canada, including the National Arts Centre. She has served as General Manager for several theatre companies, most recently Patrick Street Productions. Tammy is passionate about mentoring emerging artists, contributing to community and the value of arts to society.
